(Italics are part of a song)
Tada looked around her room. She couldn't believe how much of her life had changed. Not to many people realized how alone and scared she could get. Her eyes scanned the room once more. She was waiting patiently for her sister to return. She had never meant to yell at her sister or say anything to hurt her.....Why did she have to say anything at all? Tada and Kaika knew Itami was the wrong person to get mixed up with but Tada didn't have to yell at Kaika for dating him. Tada looked over her shoulder at her room one last time. A soft sigh escaped her. She jumped down out of her rooms window to the floor below. She landed softly and stood slowly. She walked down the streets quietly. Tada looked up into the sky and saw some ghosts just sitting and waiting....like they were still alive. Tada sighed and walked ahead, remembering a song she heard somewhere that she couldn't remember.
Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance
for a break that would make it okay
there's always some reason
to feel not good enough
and it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction
oh, beautiful release
Tada noticed the lake down below. The same one that her sister had pulled her from when she had started to drown. The same lake that started her fear of drowning. Her eyes softened and seemed to be somewhat distant. As if she were somewhere else. The look of someone remembering something.
memories seep from my veins
let me be empty.
Oh, how weightless,
and maybe ill find some peace tonight
Her eyes shifted to the sky as she saw some ghosts retire for the night and head toward the clouds for some peace and quiet. Tada stopped walking and noticed up ahead was the hotel that Itami and Kaika had died in. Tada walked slowly toward the entrance and stood before the hotel. It was mostly abandoned. Most people didn't come to this hotel after the death of the two teens.
In the arms of the angel
far away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
May you find, some comfort here
Tada closed her eyes and continued walking down the street. She didn't know exactly where she was going. All she knew was she needed some time to herself. She never did get to much alone time. Her eyes spotted a familiar scene. Two ghosts running. One a thief and another an old shop keeper. They were caught in the same scene over and over until the one day that they would realize they are not alive. It reminded Tada so much of her sister. Her sister knew she was dead but she never accepted that. She always claimed she was alive and had good enough chakra to stay hidden.
So tired of the straight life
and everywhere you turn
there's vultures and thieves at your back
and the storm keeps on twisting
keep on building the lies
that you make up for all that you lack
it don't make no difference
escape them one last time
it's easier to believe
in this sweet madness
Oh, this glorious sadness,
that brings me to my knees
Tada looked up to see a small graveyard up ahead. Tada sighed and walked inside before searching for the one tomb she visited so rarely. She stopped as she finally found it. The grave of Kaika. she sat down in front of it and looked up at the sky.
In the arms of the angel
far away from here
from this dark cold hotel room
and the endlessness that you fear
you are pulled from the wreckage
of your silent reverie
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here
you're in the arms of the angel
may you find some comfort here
Tada finally stopped singing and closed her eyes. "I am sorry.....sister." She spoke softly as she stood and placed a small flower on the grave. She read the tomb one last time before turning. In front of her stood her sister. Kaika stared at Tada for a moment before nodding. Tada only walked over and took Kaika's hand. "Come on....lets go home." She whispered to her softly. Kaika nodded again and they both started their slow walk to their house.
